Terms of service

What you can expect from us, and what we need from you, so nobody is surprised on the day.

Last updated 30 July 2026

Who these terms are between

These terms apply between Jireh Services, ABN 44 989 077 647, and you, the person or business booking the work. By accepting a quote from us, in writing, by text, or verbally, you are agreeing to what is on this page.

Quotes

Most of our quotes are worked out remotely. We look at your roof on satellite imagery, measure the gutter run, and account for the number of storeys and the roof type. That is how we get you a price quickly without needing to visit first.

Quotes are valid for 14 days from the date we send them.

Because we quote remotely, occasionally what we find on site is materially different to what we expected. Common examples are a much heavier build up of debris than normal, gutters that have not been cleared in many years, access we cannot get to safely, or a roof structure that is not what the imagery showed. If that happens we will stop, ring you, and explain the difference before doing any further work. You are free to accept a revised price or to cancel with nothing owing.

We will never do extra work and add it to your invoice without talking to you first. If we have not spoken about it, you are not paying for it.

Booking and rescheduling

We will confirm a date with you and let you know the expected arrival window. If something on our end changes, a job running long or a vehicle problem, we ring you rather than leaving you waiting.

Weather

We do not work at height in rain or high wind, because it is not safe. If the weather turns, we will contact you and move the job to the next suitable day. There is no charge for a weather reschedule.

If you need to change or cancel

Let us know by the morning of your booking at the latest and we will move it or cancel it, no questions and no charge.

We do not charge call out fees. If we turn up and cannot start because a gate was locked, a dog was loose, or the property was not ready, we will simply rebook you. All we ask is that you tell us as early as you can, because a slot we cannot use is a slot another customer could have had.

What we need from you on the day

You do not need to be home. We do need the following, and if any of it is missing we may not be able to complete the job.

  • Access to the yard, with gates unlocked or a code, key or arrangement sorted beforehand
  • Dogs secured somewhere away from where we are working, for their safety and ours
  • Somewhere reasonably close to park the vehicle and trailer
  • Access to an outdoor tap and, for some jobs, a power point
  • Vehicles moved off the driveway if we are pressure cleaning it
  • Outdoor furniture, pot plants and anything fragile moved clear of the work area, or let us know and we will move it carefully

Safety and work we may decline

We work at height, and we will not do anything we judge unsafe. We may decline all or part of a job, on site and without penalty to you, where we find any of the following.

  • A roof too brittle, steep or deteriorated to walk on safely
  • No safe anchor point or setup for a ladder or harness
  • Material we suspect contains asbestos
  • Damaged or unsafe electrical wiring, solar cabling or antenna mounts
  • Structural problems that mean our work could make things worse
  • Weather that turns dangerous while we are on site

If we decline before starting, you owe nothing. If we complete part of the job, we charge only for the part we completed, and we will discuss that with you before we invoice.

Existing damage and wear

This is the part worth reading properly, because exterior cleaning often reveals problems that were already there.

Older roofs and gutters can be brittle, rusted, cracked, poorly fixed or already leaking, sometimes with no sign of it from the ground. Cleaning does not cause those problems, but it does uncover them, and occasionally a tile that was already cracked will fail when walked on despite proper care.

We photograph anything we notice and tell you about it, whether or not you asked for a report. We are not responsible for pre-existing damage, wear, rust, or the normal consequences of an older roof being cleaned for the first time in years.

We are, of course, responsible for damage we actually cause through our own carelessness. We are fully insured, and if we break something we will tell you rather than leave you to find it.

What is and is not included

A standard gutter clean covers gutters and valleys cleared of debris, every downpipe checked and cleared for water flow, all debris removed from site, before and after photos, and a written roof report.

Unless we have specifically quoted it, the following are not included: repairs of any kind, gutter or downpipe replacement, unblocking of underground drainage, roof restoration or painting, gutter guard supply or installation, interior cleaning, or removal of anything other than the debris from the work we did.

Payment

We invoice you once the work is finished. Payment is due within 3 days of the invoice date unless we have agreed otherwise in writing. We accept bank transfer, PayID and cash.

For real estate agents, property managers and businesses, invoices are due within 14 days.

We do not charge interest on late payments. If an invoice goes unpaid we will follow it up by phone or text, and for accounts that stay unpaid we reserve the right to refer them for recovery with reasonable costs added.

If you are not happy with the work

Tell us within 7 days and we will come back and put it right at no charge. Ring us on 0458 694 984.

The downpipe guarantee sits outside that window. If a downpipe we cleared is not flowing, ring us whenever you notice it and we come back and clear it, with no time limit and nothing to pay.

We would much rather fix something than have you unhappy about it, and we would rather hear it from you than read it in a review.

Nothing on this page limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law. Our services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded, including that they will be provided with due care and skill and be fit for purpose.

Where the law allows us to limit our liability, our liability is limited to supplying the service again, or paying the cost of having it supplied again. Insurance

We hold public liability insurance and insurance appropriate to working at height. We are happy to send you a certificate of currency before we start, just ask.

Photos of your property

We take before and after photos on nearly every job. We may use them in our advertising without identifying you or your address. Tell us if you would rather we did not, and we will not. See our privacy policy for the detail.

We may update these terms from time to time. The version that applies to your job is the one published when you accepted your quote.
