Booking more than one takes 5% off. If we are already at your place doing gutters, adding this to the same visit costs you one call out instead of two, and 5% comes off the whole price.

When panels are worth cleaning
This is not scheduled maintenance and we will not pretend it is. Some arrays are steep and exposed enough that rain keeps them fine for years.
- Visible bird droppings on the glassThe clearest case for a clean. Droppings block light outright and rain will not shift them.
- Heavy dust build-upCommon near construction, unsealed roads, or after a long dry stretch with no decent rain.

- Your output has dropped without explanationCheck your app or inverter against the same month last year. A gradual unexplained decline is worth a look, though dirty glass is only one of several things that cause it.

Between $5 and $10 per panel, depending on roof pitch, height and how the array is positioned. A twenty panel system on an accessible single storey roof comes to around $100 to $200. Send your address and you get one set price.
Will rain not clean them for me?
Partly. Rain shifts loose dust reasonably well. It does very little against bird droppings, which harden onto the glass, and pollen tends to be redistributed into streaks rather than washed away.
Do you check for birds under the panels?
Every time. We photograph what we find, and if pigeons have moved in we can quote mesh around the array to close the gap. We do not touch the panels or the wiring to fit it.
How often should panels be cleaned?
Only when there is a reason: heavy dust, bird droppings, or a thick pollen film. There is no schedule, and some systems never need it. Steep, exposed panels with no trees or birds over them often look after themselves.
Do I need to be home?
No. We need access to the yard, somewhere to park and an outdoor tap. Photos come through with the invoice.

Do you use chemicals or detergents?
No. We use a water fed pole with filtered, deionised water. Most panel manufacturers void warranty cover if detergents or abrasives are used on the glass, and pure water dries without leaving spots or a residue for dust to stick to.
How much output will I get back?
Depends on what is on the panels. Published research puts light dust at a few percent and bird droppings at ten to fifteen percent or more, with the worst cases above twenty. We will not promise you a figure, because anyone who does is guessing.
Can you do it from the ground?
Sometimes, on smaller single storey arrays in reachable positions. Most jobs need roof access to do properly, which is part of what the price reflects.
Can I bundle it with a gutter clean?
Yes, and it works out cheaper. Booking more than one service takes 5% off the whole price, and panels are the easiest thing to add when we are already on your roof.
